Drug AddictThe seat is cold,  hard..
 uneasy..
             thoughts
filter through a murky mind
in pieces
senseless,
            eroded will
try as he might sounds can't
be still

the bus lurches
forward,
         still forward
not knowing,
        not caring
just another place
just another prison cell
inside
      these thoughts

nothing is worse anyway
pop another pill
fade
       into self-loathing
he doesn’t see anything

but the        blur

float away
on chemical relief

he closes his eyes

and sleeps....
When its OverWhen it’s over
               you’ll feel the crush
Like a hammer falling on your chest

You’ll fight to breathe
Choke,
          spit out blood
                        and heave

You’ll stumble backwards
Disbelief twisting its way
                through your thoughts

As is from a physical blow
                                             You’ll pull away
Fall down on your knees as if to pray

You’ll look up,
         hoping to see another truth
A different one than what you first thought

With tears streaming down your face
You’ll look up

And see his back already turned
Leaving y
Guilt on a Blade's EdgeRazorblades and bathroom floors, darkness crowding in
Broken nights and scarlet words, every time the pain begins
No reason but to remove the ache, no consequence was thought
Nobody knew, nobody ever saw, these battles that I fought

I never knew, I never saw, how much it pained her too
My life belongs to both of us, she always pulled me through
Years passed in quiet struggle, she never saw the scars
I wished to just escape this world, to dance among the stars

One fateful day, one small mistake, the truth was then revealed
She could not see the full extent as most of it had healed
But she saw it in my eyes, as tears started to fall
Mon AmiAcross                               continents
           met minds of old
Thinking of days gone by  
                          and memories cold

Inspiration poured
                  from within her pen
Found the strength needed to write again
No face to the name
                                   but personality
Returning my pen’s lacking vitality

Miles and miles
           separate physical          thought
But ideas that are shared here
             can never be bought

New life blood
   poured into scarlet inked pages
An ally in times of most bittersweet rages
A smile spreads,
                   bubbl
